What is REET Exam:-

Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers know as REET is a state level exam conducted by the Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan (BSER) to to assess the eligibility of the aspirants for Primary and Upper- Primary level Teachers in Rajasthan state’s school. The REET exam conducts for Level 1 and Level 2. The candidates who wish to teach in class 1 to class 5 give the level 1 exam and become the primary teacher. And the candidates who wish to teach class 6 to 8 will appear for the level 2 exam and become upper primary teacher. If candidates want to eligible to teach from class 1 to 8 then they have to qualify the both level of REET exam.

REET 2024 Exam Overview:-

REET 2025 Exam provides a comprehensive assessment for candidates aiming to qualify as teachers in Rajasthan’s government schools. For the 2024 cycle, 14,29,172 candidates have applied. In which 346444 candidates have applied for Level 1, 968074 have applied for Level 2 and 114654 have applied for Level 1 and 2 both. Level 1: 12th pass with a Diploma in Elementary Education or Graduation with B.Ed.

 

Level 2: Graduation with B.Ed. or equivalent qualification

18 to 40 years (Relaxations apply for reserved categories)

REET Exam Schedule 2025:-

The REET Exam Dates 2024 have been officially announced. Candidates can check the REET 2024 exam schedule for both Level I and Level II exams for primary and secondary teacher recruitment.

1st Shift – (10.00 AM to 12.30 PM)

2nd Shift – (3.00 PM to 5.30 PM)

REET 2024 Exam Pattern:-

The REET 2024 Exam Pattern is revised for both Level I and Level II and will feature different structures, tailored to the teaching levels. Candidates must clear both tests if they wish to teach at both levels. The exam consists of multiple-choice questions, with no negative marking for wrong answers.

  • Level I consists of 150 questions for 150 marks, to be completed in 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • Level II also has 150 questions for 150 marks, with a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes.
  • BSER has introduced 5th Option to the existing four answer choices means candidates have to answer the question.
  • There is ⅓ negative marking in Level I and Level II exams for only unanswered questions. There will be no negative marking for wrong answers.
  • Level I includes sections on Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies.
  • Level II includes sections on Child Development & Pedagogy, Language I, Language II, and Mathematics & Science (for Maths/Science teachers) or Social Science (for Social Science teachers).

REET Eligibility Criteria 2024:-

REET Eligibility Criteria should be checked carefully by the candidates before they submit their application form. REET Notification 2024 will contain the eligibility criteria details. In this section, we are providing the required eligibility details below for your reference:-

Age Limit:-
The previous year’s REET Notification for level 1 and level 2 exams laid out the following minimum and maximum age criteria to appear in the exams. 

Minimum Age: 18 years & Maximum Age: 40 years

Note: The Board allows relaxation in the upper age limit to certain categories of candidates. The details of the same shall be available upon the release of the official notification. 

Educational Qualification:-

As per the previous exam cycle, the RSMSSB notification included the following educational qualifications for the different levels of the exam. 

  1. To appear in the REET 2024 exam for Level 1 (primary school teachers for classes 1 to 5), candidates should at least have one of the following educational qualifications: 
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education,    Or
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education,         Or
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed,   Or
  • Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks + 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education), Or
  • Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
  1. For REET Level 2 (upper primary teachers for classes 6 to 8), the candidate must possess one of the following qualifications: 
  • Graduation + 2-year diploma in Elementary Education 
  • Graduation or Post-graduation (with minimum 50% marks) + B.Ed. 
  • Graduation (with at least 45% marks) + 1 year B.Ed. 
  • Senior secondary education (with minimum 50% marks) + 4 year B.El.Ed
  • Senior secondary education (with minimum 50% marks) + 4-year B.A./B.Sc.Ed. or B.A.Ed./B.Sc.Ed
  • Graduation (with minimum 50% marks) + 1 year B.Ed. (Special Education)
