CBSE conducts the Central Teacher Eligibility Test or CTET, for which lakhs of candidates apply to be teachers in Government and private schools. CTET 2021 is from16th December 2021 to13th January 2022. It is a national-level entrance exam for teachers’ eligibility, not a test for recruitment. The candidates also have to clear other tests to get recruitment.

CTET will be online and candidates are to prepare according to the new pattern announced. The exam process is open, fair, and transparent, qualifying and is purely on merit, capability, and sincere preparation.

CTET 2021 Exam Pattern

The paper is conducted in two phases:

  • PAPER 1- (for applicants for classes 1-5)

The paper has 150 questions and the minimum score for passing is 60%. The duration of the exam is 2.5 hours.

Paper 2 also has 150 questions. The candidates are provided a choice between Mathematics & Science and Social Science and Social Studies, and the minimum requirement is 60%. (2.5 hours)

According to the changes, the CTET 2021 score will be valid for a lifetime.

THE NATURE AND STANDARD OF QUESTIONS

  • The paper on Child Development and Pedagogy will focus on the educational psychology of teaching and learning relevant to the age group of 6-11 years. 
  • Language 1 paper focuses on the proficiency of the language of instructions.
  • The paper for Language 2 is a test for comprehension skills, communication and language.
  • The test for Mathematics & Science is for conceptual understanding, problem-solving ability and understanding and application of the subjects.

Expected CUT-OFF 2021

It is the minimum score that the applicant needs to pass. The expected cut-off for 2021 is 60%, and the test does not guarantee selection. Other tests follow CTET as per the requirement of the location and other factors. If the candidate scores 60% and above in CTET 2021, it will be valid for a lifetime as per the new notification of CBSE.

Accordingly, the Schools may give concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST/OBC, etc.

  • The official website https://ctet.nic.in.
  • The screen will display notifications.
  • Click the CTET result link.
  • The link takes you to the login window.
  • Enter Roll Number.
  • The screen will then display your result.
  • Check the cut-off of CTET within the result window.
