HTET 2020 Exam

HTET or Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Haryana (BSEH), is an eligibility test for teachers. HTET is held for different levels of teacher recruitment such as Primary Teacher (PT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in schools run by Haryana State Government

Educational qualification:

Primary Teacher (Level 1 - Class 1 to 5): 12th pass along with Diploma in Elementary Education (D.EI.Ed)

Trained Graduate Teacher (Level 2 - Class 6 to 8): Bachelor’s Degree along with B.Ed

Post Graduate Teacher (Level 3 – Above Class 8): Master’s Degree along with B.Ed

Age: Candidates from 18 years to 38 years of age can apply for HTET 2020.

HTET exam pattern for all the papers are decided by Board of Secondary Education, Haryana (BSEH). HTET exam is conducted in three parts, paper I, paper II and paper III. Paper - I is for Primary Teachers (Classes I - V), Paper - II is for Trained Graduate Teachers - TGT (Class VI -VIII) and Paper – III is for Post Graduate Teacher (class IX – XII). HTET syllabus for three different papers are different. Candidates need to score certain qualifying marks in each paper to be declared eligible for teaching posts. Find complete HTET exam pattern here.

HTET Exam Pattern 2020

HTET exam will be held in November tentatively. The written test will be conducted for three different levels separately. Total marks time allotted for each level or paper is two and a half hours or 150 minutes. Find HTET exam pattern for all three levels below:

Note: in each paper or level, candidates from the unreserved category need to score a minimum of 90 out of 150 (60%). On the other hand, SC/ ST/ other reserved categories need to score 82 out of 150 (55%).

HTET syllabus has been release by BSEH in the official notification of HTET. HTET syllabus for Level 1, 2 and 3 is different. For deferent levels of the examination, there is basic difference in HTET syllabus. The main purpose of the HTET syllabus is to assess the mental ability and knowledge of the candidates.
