REET Exam 2022, All You Need To Know

Board of Secondary Education, Rajasthan, conducts the Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teachers (REET) to recruit the candidates for teaching posts across the state. The posts are further divided in two levels, namely, level-I primary teachers (Class 1 to class 5) and level-II primary teachers (Class 6 to class 8). Two separate examinations are held for both levels. The candidates can apply for either or both of the examinations.

The chief Minister of Rajasthan had announced the exam dates to be May 14 and 15, 2022 via twitter, The board is yet to release the application forms, the candidates must keep checking the official website regularly. The application process will take place in an online mode. In this article, all the necessary information is mentioned further.

Vacancies

The board is going to conduct the REET Exam in order to recruit 32000 eligible candidates, out of which, 26000 posts are for Level-I and 6000 are for level-II. Candidates can apply for either one or both the levels.

REET Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must fulfill the required eligibility criteria for the exam to qualify for the post. Rajasthan Board has issued the eligibility criteria for both the levels on their official website. The minimum age to apply is 18 years and the maximum age is 32. Age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories in the notification.

Level-I

  • The candidate must successfully clear class 12th from a recognised board with at least 50% marks.
  • He/She must have a two year diploma degree in education or graduation or he/she must be appearing in the final year of the graduation or diploma degree.

Level-II

  • The candidate must successfully complete his graduation with at least 50% marks.
  • The candidate must complete B.Ed (one year course).

Documents Required for REET Rajasthan 2022

It is advised that you keep all the original documents handy while applying for the exam. Here we’ve mentioned the list of documents the candidates must acquire before applying for the exam.

  • Class 10th Mark sheet, matching the Date of Birth with the entered details.
  • Valid ID Proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport, and other government-issued card).
  • Domicile of Rajasthan (for Candidates of Rajasthan).
  • Valid and active Email ID.
  • Valid and active Phone Number.

Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The exam pattern for both the levels is almost same. Both the exam contain MCQ type questions with the time duration of 150 minutes. There are 150 questions and each question carries 1 mark each. Since, there is no negative marking, your result will be a sum of all the correct answers you’ve entered in the exam.

REET Level-I Syllabus

  • Child Development & Pedagogy : Child Development, Meaning and Concept of learning and its processes, Individual Differences, Understanding diverse learners, Teaching-learning process, etc.
  • Environmental Studies : Family, Clothes and Habitats, Profession, Public places and Institutions, Our Culture and Civilization, Transport and Communication, Personal Hygiene, Living Beings, Matter and Energy, Concept and scope of Environment Studies, EVS Pedagogy, etc.
  • Mathematics : Mathematics Pedagogy, Place Value, Comparison, Concept of fraction, proper fractions, comparison of proper fraction of the same denominator, mixed fractions, etc.
  • English Language : Part 1: Unseen Prose Passage, Unseen Prose Passage, Framing Questions Including Wh-questions, English Pedagogy, etc. Part 2: Unseen Prose Passage, Unseen Poem, Literary Terms, English Pedagogy, etc.
