Under the government of Haryana, the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) selects personnel for various Group C, B, and D positions in state departments and subordinate offices. Haryana Staff Selection Commission is abbreviated as HSSC. In Haryana, the HSSC is in charge of staff recruitment. The examination pattern is nearly identical for all recruitments. Except for the appointment of executive officers, the Commission is responsible for selecting eligible candidates for appointments to Haryana Govt. State government non-gazetted posts, except those in the Punjab and Haryana High Courts, are appointed by the Haryana SSC. Appointments under the State Government and promotions from one service or post to another. Responsible for implementing the principles that must be followed when making an appointment to a post under the State Government.

For most posts, the HSSC exam pattern contains a written exam of 90 marks, socioeconomic criteria, and experience of 10 marks. Moreover, the general awareness section receives 75% of the weightage in HSSC exams, while Haryana GK receives 25%.
